When Queen Elizabeth died she left behind 4 dogs: 2 Corgis (Sandy and Muick), a Dorgi (Candy, age 13) and a Cocker Spaniel named Lissy. The 2 Corgis went to live with Prince Andrew and Sarah Fergusen in Windsor, the Dorgi was also expected to head there, but there was never any info given on what would happen to Lissy.
Lissy joined the Queen just this year, I believe, and was a Champion dog. If I recall correctly, she was 4-6 years old at the time. She isn’t a breed normally associated with Queen Elizabeth so perhaps she went back to her previous owners rather than remain in the Royal Family?
If anyone has any info into the whereabouts of Lissy, please do let me know 🙂
Happy Dogging!
Thank you, JS for pointing me to this article with some updated info https://www.womanandhome.com/life/royal-news/sarah-ferguson-reveals-how-the-queens-corgis-are-settling-into-their-new-home-after-her-passing/ I still have questions like how did the news that Candy died some time before the Queen not get mentioned in the zillion articles since then, and the article just suggests Lissy is with her trainer. I hope Lissy is doing well!
